Castaways Community in Newport Beach

This morning I took a walk over to the Castaways. There's a walking trail along the front of the homes that over looks the bay and Ocean. What a spectacular location! These  homes are elegant, yet have a certain casual feel. The architecture captures the charm of our eastern seaboard. The Castaways neighborhood homes were built by Taylor Woodrow homes.

The Castaways recently hired a 24 hour guard for the gated community. There's about 119 homes in the neighborhood, mainly families, with lots of kids! Children attend Mariners Elementary, Ensign Junior High, and Newport Harbor High School. Located within a few minutes walk to 17th street, you can walk to do your shopping, banking, or just stop by the local Star bucks and chances are you will know many of the folks at the coffee shop. It is a local hang out! Here's a shot of the exterior of a typical Castaways home.
