Preparing your home to sell

If you are thinking of selling your home, remember that the way you live in your home and the way you sell your home are very different. In this market it is very important to let go of any emotional ties you may have to your home and look at it like a buyer would.

• First of all make sure you de-clutter your home. Put away all nick-knacks,extra furniture, and family pictures.
• Make sure your carpet is clean if not replace it. It is well worth it.
• Odors, get rid of them.
• Paint, it makes a huge difference.
• Clean your home, no one likes a dirty house.
• Open all window coverings, and let the sunshine in.
• Manicure your yard, plant new flowers, and hose down prior to any showings.
• Clean out garage and organize it.
• Keep pets out during showings.
• Leave your home while potential buyers are looking.
