Because the neighborhood was built in the 1950s, there is a wide variety of prices and styles. You may find an original 1950's cottage, and next door a new massive beautiful home.  In the Dover Shores tract many homes are on the waterfront.

There are two private beaches for the residents to enjoy. Have a party, picnic or enjoy "Movie Night" on the beach every Tuesday evening during the summer.  Neighbors take turns bringing dinner for everyone to enjoy.  This is quite the party!  Although the beaches are private, if you don't live in the community, you can probably find a friend who can get you in.
